Curriculum Drivers
Pilton Infants: Learning for Life
At Pilton Infants, a thriving school in the heart of Barnstaple, we have designed a curriculum that engages and inspires our learners, while embracing the diverse and vibrant community we serve. At the core of our curriculum are four key drivers, which reflect the values we uphold and the inclusive, forward-thinking ethos of our school. These drivers ensure that every child receives a world-class education, preparing them to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Our drivers—Building Learning Power, Building Community (both local and global), Building Futures (aspirations and hope), and Building Self-Esteem and Wellbeing—are embedded in all aspects of our teaching and learning. Through these, we foster the development of the whole child, ensuring they grow not only academically but also emotionally and socially.
Together, these drivers allow us to bring our vision of 'Learning for Life' to life in every classroom, encouraging our children to embrace challenges, pursue their aspirations, and become confident, lifelong learners who contribute positively to society.
