Our Curriculum

Building Community

At Pilton Infants, we believe that understanding what it means to be part of a global community and becoming responsible global citizens is a vital part of Learning for Life. We are committed to ensuring that our children develop a deep knowledge of the world they live in and form positive connections with children not just in the UK, but across Europe and the wider world.

Throughout their time at Pilton Infants, children learn about different countries and cultures in each year group, broadening their understanding of the world around them. We are also proud to have established a school-wide partnership with St Joseph's CBSE School in Bangalore, India. This partnership is embedded across all year groups, allowing children throughout the school to engage in exciting activities that connect them with their peers in India and explore what life is like in another part of the world.

Through our Big Event curriculum, global themes are woven into our classroom activities, helping children to consider important issues such as sustainability, diversity, and global responsibility. These learning experiences are not only relevant to the children’s lives but also align with our school’s vision of Learning for Life. By engaging with real-world global issues and building relationships with children from other cultures, we are preparing our pupils to be informed, empathetic, and responsible citizens of the future.

At Pilton Infants, we believe that fostering a sense of global awareness and responsibility is an essential part of nurturing lifelong learners who are ready to make a positive impact on the world.
